Document summary

The objective of this research was to gain deep insight into the lived experiences of disabled people, rather than to provide a representative picture. The aims of the research were to: inform cross-cutting policy development and policy announcements; enable policies developed for disabled people reflecting their lived experiences; help inform the government how to better integrate departmental policies and services. This research was conducted prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and a follow up to this project looks at the effects of COVID-19 on disabled people’s everyday lives.
