Here’s a round up of the latest publications featuring the National Centre for Accessible Transport (ncat) and our people over the past few weeks:

🚄 The Rail Industry Association published ‘The Journey to Equality’ their latest report which features the National Centre for Accessible Transport It explores how the supply chain is working to improve accessibility across the rail network.

The Journey to Equality: Creating a Railway for All RIA

The first recommendation from the RIA report is that people directly impacted by decisions should have a say in those decisions.

This is very much in line with the findings from our own, recently published, ‘Working Together for Accessible Transport‘ report where the professionals we interviewed noted that transport decisions and policies often lack input from lived experiences.

The most effective way to remedy that is to involve disabled people in the work from the start.

🚗 We were also featured in a What Car? article as they interviewed ncat board member Gordon McCullough about how new transport technologies are affecting disabled drivers:

Are disabled drivers being left behind in the transition to electric vehicles? | What Car?
