Document summary

The Equality and Human Rights Commission has provided written evidence to the Transport Committee. This short submission is designed to assist the Committee to root its analysis in the equality and human rights legal frameworks. It also provides an account of our recent relevant legal and enforcement work. The Committee may find it useful to consider this evidence alongside our submission to its 2020 inquiry on the implications of coronavirus for transport. We urge the Committee to engage as fully as possible with Disabled People’s Organisations to inform its findings and recommendations
