Indigo Ayling, from ncat partner RiDC, writes about representing ncat at the UK Council on Deafness’s annual conference in July:

It was brilliant being invited to speak at the UK Council on Deafness’ annual conference.

In my presentation, I discussed the importance of inclusive user research for building trust with the d/Deaf and disabled community.

I am proud of the work we are doing at ncat, building our Community of Accessible Transport to do research that makes people feel valued and heard.

There is still more work to be done to ensure d/Deaf people are properly included in research initiatives, and at ncat we will always welcome your feedback on what we could be doing to make our work more accessible.

If you are a British Sign Language user and would like to join the Community of Accessible Transport via BSL, you can do so here. Or, if you would rather sign up over a video call using a BSL video relay service, please feel free to get in touch.
